MILEY CYRUS SHOCKS AT THE VMAS

OK friends, can we take a moment to recap the spectacle that was the VMAs? I mean, Justin Timberlake with N’Sync sent every 20-something girl into a frenzy (me included!) and Lady Gaga‘s comeback was just as theatrical as always. But then, there were moments filled with…twerking. A quick Google search will lead you to tons of reaction shots from front-row stars—including a hilarious pic of Will, Jaden and Willow Smith—watching on as Miley Cyrus put her best twerk forward on the VMA stage. Her overtly sexual performance (think: flesh coloured bikini) was uncomfortable to watch at times and we couldn’t help but feel a little sorry for Robin Thicke.
We do, however, have to praise the handy camera work throughout the show, including a special shout-out for those clever cuts to Harry Styles as Taylor Swift made a not-so-coy reference to her relationship with the boy band heartthrob. With her retro hairstyle and plunging gown, Taylor looked drop-dead-gorgeous, as did her BFF Selena Gomez, our best-dressed pick of the night in Atelier Versace.
