Below is a list of top 10 richest people in the world who have risen to the top owing to hard efforts they put in, all the while.

Currently at number 2 among the richest people in the world, Bill Gates needs no introduction. Bill is the co founder and chairperson of Microsoft and has total assets of over $56 billion.

With net worth of around $31 billion, 61 years old Amancio Ortega happens to be the 7th richest person in the world. Founder of Inditex group, this Spanish businessman is known for his brand of Zara clothing and other similar ventures.

Liliane Henriette Charlotte Schueller, married name Bettencourt is a French heiress, socialite and businesswoman She is one of the principal shareholders of L’Oréal and, and as of March 2013 she was listed as the wealthiest woman in the world with an estimated net worth of US $30 billion.

10.) Bernard Arnault-$29Billion

CEO of LVMH and Chairman of Christian Dior, Bernard Arnault belonging to France happens to occupy the 4th position in the list. With a net worth of over $41 billion, Bernard has become the fourth richest person in the world.
